Grandpa’s Story

unnamed (1)3

What are you after in this life?

My mom asked my grandpa when he was thirty-five

He wanted to provide for his children of five

A bigger house and food made with so much love

Then 10 years past, he lost a son

Sorrow, grief and regret grew in time

10 years after, he saw each grandchildren one by one

Joy, happiness and love of all kind

He still remembers it all

Happiness, sadness, but with no regret at all

I asked my grandpa when he was eighty-five

What is it you are after in this life?

I saw it in his eyes, “Not driven by greed

But just to be remembered with love”
