The Cliff

I see the cliff

I don’t even dare

To seek what could be out there

I choose to hide back in this cage

Can’t even bear this thought

“What if I fail?”

“What if,” fills my head with a glimpse of regret

Regret of past, with the fear to inhale

Inhale this life, without knowing who I was

A free bird once upon a time

Today I’m the same bird

Viewing the cliff

Yet, locked myself in an open cage
